On the morning of January 7, 2024, CC1 held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Bid Package XL3 Construction of the section from Binh Chuan to Saigon River, section from Km45+000 to Km51+280 under Project Component 5: Construction of Ring Road 3 section through Binh Duong province (including Tan Van intersection) in the city Thuan An town, Binh Duong province.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony, on CC1's side, there was the presence of Mr. Hoang Trung Thanh - Deputy General Director of Transport Construction and Technical Infrastructure along with managers of the Corporation's departments and staff. Member –Employee at the Project Executive Board. On the Investor's side, there is Mr. Tran Hung Viet - Director of the Transportation Construction Investment Project Management Board of Binh Duong province. On the side of local leaders, there was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Chairman of the City People's Committee. Thuan An and representatives of partner units and joint venture members.
Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 construction investment project has a total length of 76.34km, passing through 4 provinces and cities, including: Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Long An, divided into 8 component project, operated independently. Total investment is 75,378 billion VND. The section through Binh Duong province has a total length of 26.6km, with a total investment of 19,280 billion VND. Of which, the Tan Van intersection section is 2,393km long, the Binh Chuan - Saigon River section is 8.9km long, and the My Phuoc - Tan Van intersection section is 15.3km long. Particularly, Package XL3 Construction of the section from Binh Chuan to Saigon River, section from Km45+000 to Km51+280 under Component Project 5 with a route length of 6.28km with a total value of more than 1,852 billion VND, duration Implementation is 1080 days and expected to operate in 2026.
With an important strategic location, when completed, Ring Road 3 will have special significance; is a vital traffic route in the southern key economic region. When closed, this route will promote trade between provinces, promote a comprehensive economy for the whole region, and be a bright spot to attract investors with projects adjacent to Belt 3. Specifically, shorten travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Long An provinces, Southwestern provinces to the northern region and vice versa; promote economic development, enhance opportunities and investment cooperation among the provinces of the Southeast region; restructuring the land fund along Ring Road 3 for urban - commercial - service development; Streamlining transit traffic through Ho Chi Minh City contributes to reducing congestion, improving environmental quality, and improving the social and economic life of people in the region.
