On the morning of January 12, 2024, CC1 and the contractor consortium attended the handover and site reception ceremony for Package XL–10 Project to build infrastructure and improve the environment of Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canal connecting Long An province via Cho Dem river and Binh Duong province, Dong Nai province via Saigon river) in District 12 and Go vap district.
Attending the ceremony, there was the presence of Mr. Vo Trung Truc - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Mr. Dang Phu Thanh - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, Mr. Bui Thanh Tan - Director Ho Chi Minh City Urban Infrastructure Construction Investment Project Management Board, leaders of District 12, Go Vap District along with CC1 representatives and members of the contractor consortium.
Renovating Tham Luong - Ben Cat - Nuoc Len canal is a key project under the flood prevention and wastewater treatment project for the period 2020 - 2045 with a route length of 31.46km passing through 07 districts with a total investment of Investing about 8,200 billion VND. Phase 1 of the project has been completed, basically forming a route along the canal. In February 2023, Ho Chi Minh City started construction on phase 2 of the project. According to the proposed schedule, the project will reach its destination on April 30, 2025.
Participate in Package XL-10, CC1 with a consortium of contractors to construct the section from Truong Dai Bridge to Saigon River (km23+100 – km31+464, l=8,364 m, Left Bank) with a total contract value of more than 1,200 billion VND, construction time is 945 days.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Trung Truc - Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City shared that after a decade of efforts to implement site clearance, the site handover results of the two districts today are one. great fun. In particular, he praised Go Vap district for paying compensation for 46/46 affected cases and handing over 100% of land.
This project, in addition to improving flood prevention effectiveness, also solves pollution, bringing fresh air and clear blue water to people. This is also the axis connecting transport infrastructure, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Long An province via Cho Dem river and Binh Duong province and Dong Nai province via Saigon river, promoting socio-economic development of Ho Chi Minh City. . In particular, this project was directed by Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Nen to strive to complete and put into use by April 30, 2025. This is a particularly meaningful occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.
