Summarizing the first round of emulation activities "90 days to complete reinforced concrete structures at terminal T3", Mr. Vu The Phiet - General Director of ACV said, the items that CC1 and the Contractor Consortium had committed to in advance. That goal has now been accomplished.
Accordingly, in the first emulation launch from February 2024 until now, CC1 and the Contractor Consortium have shortened the progress from 3-16 days. Currently, CC1 and the Contractor Consortium are speeding up the construction and installation of mechanical and electrical systems, completing the architecture of the 1st and 2nd floors. On the construction site, cranes from 100-300 tons have begun to be installed and restored. Material transfer service for steel structure construction. For the high-rise garage category, the construction progress is transitioning to completing the two-basement architecture. The bridge leading to the terminal and the expanded aircraft apron also achieved more than 80% in volume compared to the target progress.
In order to shorten the progress, ACV and the contractors continued to sign a contract to launch the second round of competition with "120 days and nights determined to complete the steel structure of the main roof of the station and the high-rise parking garage" on the occasion of the National Day. 9/2.
Specifically, the entire steel structure of the station will shorten the schedule by 69 days, the steel structure of the garage roof will shorten the schedule by 59 days. In addition, the escalator equipment at the passenger terminal will be shortened by 67 days. Luggage conveyor equipment on the second floor of the passenger terminal will be shortened by 44 days.
It is known that although the target progress has been shortened, there is still a lot of remaining construction volume. Therefore, each contractor in the Joint Venture needs to make more efforts, focusing financial and human resources to ensure the overall progress of the T3 terminal project, meeting the requirements of the investor.
The bidding package for construction and installation of passenger terminal equipment at T3 will start at the end of August 2023, with a winning value of more than 9,000 billion VND by a consortium including CC1 and 5 contractors: Construction Joint Stock Corporation. Hanoi (Hancorp); Corporation 319 (Ministry of National Defense); Truong Son Construction Corporation; Ricons Construction Investment Joint Stock Company and Luu Nguyen Construction Company Limited are in charge.

Passenger terminal T3 at Tan Son Nhat airport, after completion, will be a domestic passenger terminal with a capacity of more than 20 million passengers/year, able to operate all types of Code C and Code E aircraft. The project also implemented simultaneously with connecting traffic routes invested by Ho Chi Minh City, to reduce traffic congestion around Tan Son Nhat airport. ACV has set a goal of completing the project before April 30, 2025 and putting it into operation.
