On the morning of May 13, 2024, Internal Control and Risk Management Department CC1 coordinated with KPMG to organize a sharing session with the topic "Three pillars of sustainability: Environment, Society, Governance (ESG) in the Construction industry at the Corporation's Headquarters.

Attending the sharing session, on KPMG's side, there was the presence of Mr. Nguyen Chi Hieu - Director of ESG Consulting Services, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Trang - Deputy Director of ESG Consulting Services and Mr. Le Quang Hai - Senior Advisor High Risk and Management Consulting Services. ESG helps organizations identify risks and opportunities, as well as the impact of applying them to operations. 

Presenting at the sharing session, Mr. Nguyen Chi Hieu - Director of ESG consulting services of KPMG said that according to many reports, the built environment creates 30% of total greenhouse gas emissions and consumes 32% of financial resources. world natural resources. The Construction Industry plays an important role in reducing emissions and mitigating climate change. Therefore, Construction businesses need to consider ESG standards more carefully. In addition to environmental factors, ESG criteria also require comprehensive policies that influence other aspects of construction operations, from supply chain management and material sourcing to procurement strategies and labor standards.
