On the morning of September 25, the Corporation's Trade Union and the Agency's Trade Union coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Hospital to organize a program "Voluntary Blood Donation Festival 2023 - Every drop of blood - One heart". The program is part of a series of events to celebrate the 44th anniversary of the Corporation's founding (October 1, 1979 - October 1, 2023).
Donating blood is a noble gesture, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity. Understanding that noble meaning, the Executive Committee of the Corporation's Trade Union and the Agency's union in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Blood Transfusion and Hematology Hospital launched the program: "Voluntary Blood Donation Festival 2023 - Every drop Blood - One Heart" calls on all employees and Trade Union members to participate in this meaningful activity at the Corporation's Headquarters.
In addition to activities aimed at employees - Trade Union members on the occasion of the Corporation's 44th anniversary, the Board of Directors also always pays attention to community and social responsibilities. With the meaning "Every drop of blood - a heart", the Blood Donation Festival has attracted the attention and registration of participation of a large number of Trade Union members. Specifically, more than 170 units of blood have been shared with the community. These blood units will be received, stored and used by the Blood Transfusion and Hematology Hospital for the right purpose to help patients.
Donating blood does not affect your health, and even has certain positive effects on the body. The amount of donated blood will be quickly regenerated by the body, serving the circulatory process. Each time a blood donation is also a time when the blood donor has a health check. In addition to preliminary checks such as: health check, measuring blood pressure, heart rate, and testing before donating blood; Increased donated blood is also tested to determine blood type and screen for: hepatitis B virus, hepatitis C, HIV, etc.
