(Ho Chi Minh City, October 1, 2024) Representatives of the New Zealand Consulate General met and worked at the Headquarters of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC with many contents related to promoting business activities and exploiting the development potential of both sides. According to CC1, this is one of the activities to lay the foundation for the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations - 5 years of Strategic Partnership between New Zealand and Vietnam taking place next year.
Attending the meeting, on the side of CC1, there was Mr. Pham Quang Dung - Head of the General Materials Business Department of the Corporation and related management staff. On the side of the New Zealand Consulate General, there was the participation of Mr. Scott James - Consul General and Commercial Counselor of New Zealand in Ho Chi Minh City and the delegation's staff.
At the meeting, both sides discussed cooperation opportunities in the fields of agricultural import and export, sustainable infrastructure construction, green technology application, and modern urban development projects. Thereby, CC1 introduced its business capacity and outlined key and typical projects that have been and are being implemented across Vietnam.

Mr. Scott James expressed his impression of CC1's achievements in participating in the construction of national-scale projects; especially, CC1's pioneering connection when the two countries are looking forward to the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations next year. He said that New Zealand is very interested in expanding cooperation in the field of infrastructure and smart urban development projects. At the same time, New Zealand also committed to supporting Vietnamese enterprises, especially CC1, in applying advanced and environmentally friendly construction technologies.
At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to continue promoting dialogue and further research on future cooperation prospects.
